Community Dog Walking

Join us for Community Dog Walking and help make a big difference in the lives of our shelter dogs!

Our Community Dog Walking events bring together neighbors, families, and dog lovers from all over, helping to give shelter pups what they need most - fresh air, exercise, and a lot of extra love while they wait to be adopted.

No pre-registration or experience required. 

Drop-in volunteers are always welcome! Just stop by during event hours, and the shelter will pair you with a dog.

The shelter will provide everything you need: leashes, harnesses, and treats, so you can focus on having fun and helping a dog make a dog's day!

Whether you stay for one walk or spend the morning with us, your time and care make a lasting impact.

THIS IS AN OUTDOOR - WEATHER DEPENDENT EVENT. In the event of inclement weather, updates will be posted on our Facebook Events page.

A few quick tips to make the most of your visit:

• Wear comfortable, sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather so you can enjoy your time outside.

• Bring your phone or camera, our dogs love the spotlight! Feel free to share photos and tag us on socials using #FCDSAdoptables

• This is a family friendly event! Primary dog walkers must be 18 or older, but all are welcome to come enjoy the experience
