Free Basic Obedience Training

Basic Obedience Training is available at no charge and can be scheduled by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, email FCDSdogtrainer@gmail.com.

This training serves as an opportunity to bond with your new dog while teaching them basic obedience (sit, stay, loose-leash walking, etc.). Please note that this training is not appropriate for dogs younger than 6 months or for those who are severely “dog-reactive” (i.e. dogs that constantly bark when other dogs are present).

When emailing for training, please include your first and last name in addition to your dog’s “Animal ID#” (this number can be found on your adoption paperwork). If you have any questions about our Basic Obedience Training, please reach out to the Lead Training Volunteer at FCDSdogtrainer@gmail.com.
