This L-449 ICS TtT course provides training that will develop the student’s instructional skills and prepare them to deliver FEMA’s Incident Command Systems (ICS) curriculum. Instructors will provide students training on the delivery of IS-100 Introduction to the ICS, ICS-200 Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, ICS-300 Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents, ICS400: Advanced ICS for Complex Incidents, ICS-402 NIMS and ICS Overview for Senior Officials.

Participants must qualify as either a NIMS Lead or Unit instructor and demonstrate a working knowledge of ICS principles. It is required that they have worked as an Incident Commander, in a Command or General Staff position(s) on incidents, planned events, or exercises that went longer than one operational period or involved a written incident action plan and involved multiple agencies and/or jurisdictional coordination

IS-100.c Intro to the ICS, IS-200.c ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents, IS-700.b, Intro to the NIMS, IS-800.d NRF, ICS-300 Intermediate, ICS-400 Advanced, G-191 EOC/ICS Interface. Additionally, a formal instructor training such as the M-410 National Wildland Coordinating Group Facilitative Instructor or EMI Master Trainer Program, E/L/G-141 Instructional Presentation and Evaluation Skills, LSU’s MGT-323 Instructor Development Workshop or equivalent.

There is no charge for participants to attend this course. However, Lodging, Meals, Per Diem and all other travel expenses are the responsibility of the student or the parent organization.
