Now Accepting Public Comments on 2026-2027 PRC Plan
Ohio law requires each county Department of Job and Family Services to update its Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC) Plan every two years. It also requires each county to provide the public and local government entities with at least 30 days to submit comments on the statement of policies before the county director signs and dates the updated plan.
The proposed Franklin County PRC Plan for federal fiscal years (FFY) 2026–2027 will be held for public comment from Aug. 8 through Sept. 7, 2025. Franklin County encourages the public and our community partners to review the proposed updates and take advantage of the opportunity to provide comment.

About PRC
The PRC Program provides benefits and services to low-income families, helping them move out of poverty and become self-sufficient. Services offered by PRC include both limited non-recurring, short-term, crisis-oriented benefits and services that are directly related to the four purposes of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. These supports include one-time emergency assistance, disaster assistance, and Community Projects to provide workforce and education support services.
