The purpose of the Department of Human Resources is to provide quality employment services, effective training, and technical human resources assistance for the Franklin County Board of Commissioners' and other designated agencies so they can continue efficient agency operations.

Benefits and Wellness Office
As part of the Department of Human Resources, Benefits and Wellness provides health and wellness program benefits to members of the Franklin County Cooperative Health Benefits Program.

In conjunction with Benefits and Wellness, ThriveOn's approach is employee health and wellness.

Office of Learning & Staff Development
The Training and Development Section is pleased to present its Learning Management System – U Matter. Online and Virtual courses are targeted to public sector employees who want to increase knowledge and improve skills to become more productive and effective.

Risk Management & Worker's Compensation
Risk Management's primary mission is to reduce the frequency and severity of workplace injuries and occupational diseases through safety surveys and analysis, consultation and communication, policy and procedure development, implementation, and training.

Human Resources Forms
Human Resources provides you with a variety of forms. We have recently revised and added the Non Bargaining Supervisory/Non Supervisory Appraisal Form.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program
You may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance due on your Federal Direct Loan Program after you have made 120 qualifying payments. This program is represented by Federal Student Aid: An Office of the U.S. Department of Education

The Department of Human Resources is a division of the Franklin County Board of Commissioners. Our office assists in the hiring process, provides training and development and answers questions regarding all aspects of human resources for approximately 1,350 employees within the 14 Board of Commissioners agencies.
