VA Claim Process Overview

  1. Step 1 - Intent to File - The Intent to File protects the benefit date for 1 year to complete the claim.
  2. Step 2 - Claim Development - This is where we identify issues and concerns and build the link (nexus) between the issue and military service.
  3. Step 3 - Claim Submission - We submit the claim to the VA on your behalf
  4. Step 4 - Claim Processing - The VA reviews submission, schedules Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams, makes a decision based on the exams.
  5. Step 5 - Decision Review - The VA decision is reviewed to determine if additional action is needed from an Appeal or Higher Level Review
