Spotlight - Fatherhood Initiative at FCCSEA

The Franklin County CSEA Fatherhood Initiative is committed to being intentionally present in community spaces to educate, guide and connect fathers with essential support services.

You will find us ready to engage at events throughout Franklin County, community fatherhood programs, and local facilities. We lead workshops and discussions to learn more about experiences with our programs and services so we can make positive changes.

Resources

Being a father comes with great responsibility. Help is available.

  • Action for Children - Choosing child care, home visiting programs, fatherhood programs, positive parenting workshops, resources & activities, and more! Contact them to learn more about FatherUp to learn new ways to handle tough parenting or co-parenting, establish a stable income and career, and to hear from other fathers facing similar challenges.
  • Goodwill Columbus - Workforce development, career services, training programs, and more.
  • Jewish Family Services - Many services including career development and coaching, and financial empowerment.
  • National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse - activities for dads and kids, dad jokes, Dadication video, and more!
  • The Ohio Commission on Fatherhood - Opportunities for fathers to become better parents, partners and providers.
  • The Ohio Men's Action Network - Education and resources to engage men and boys in efforts to prevent relationship violence.
  • The Urban Family Development Center - Education sessions for current and expecting fathers, family development and goal setting program, and more.
