According to the Ohio Revised Code (ORC), it is the duty of the County Recorder to record all deeds, mortgages, plats or other instruments of writing that are required or authorized by the ORC. We also record Living Wills and Healthcare Powers of Attorney. Not all public records are authorized for filing with the Recorder's Office.

The Recorder's Office strongly recommends that you seek professional advice from attorneys or licensed title agencies before preparing any document to be recorded. Our employees cannot offer legal advice or perform a title search for you.
