77K Free Books for County Children

Franklin County renewed its partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Ohio and Nationwide Children's Hospital to provide free monthly books to children from birth to age five. The renewed agreement is expected to deliver over 77,000 books this cycle.

Free Mental Health Site Hits 44K Users

Franklin County extended its agreement with CredibleMind, a free digital behavioral health platform that has reached more than 44,000 visitors since 2021. Nearly 24,000 residents have completed the online assessment. The platform covers over 230 wellness topics and is available at franklincountyohio.crediblemind.com.

$300K Renewed for Housing Navigation

The Board approved a $300,000 subaward to Impact Community Action to continue the Housing Navigation Program. During the previous program year, the program served 460 families, helped 428 secure housing, and provided financial assistance to 379. The new award targets 300 families.

$100K for JFS CREW Workforce Program

The Board approved a $100,000 subaward to Jewish Family Services for its CREW program, which connects residents at or below 200% of the federal poverty level with career counselors and individualized employment plans. Last cycle, 40 of 49 enrolled residents found jobs averaging $18.40 per hour.

$1.5M Extended for Transitional Housing

The Board approved a $1.5 million subaward to Franklin County Public Health to continue the Transitional Housing Initiative. Since 2023, the program has served more than 207 families. The new award will serve at least 60 individuals with up to 90 nights of temporary housing, community health workers, and housing specialists.
